Welcome to the Longstanton Flood Action website

We are a group of Longstanton residents who have been repeatedly affected by flooding. Major floods occurred in the village in 2001 and 2014, with some residents being out of their homes for ten months.

Our aim is to protect our properties from future flooding

Reporting problems or a blockage in Longstanton Brook:

During office hours, 8 am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday) – if there is an imminent risk to property or persons, or residents are aware of blocked gratings, culverts etc. that could cause flooding, they should call SCDC on 03450 450 063.

Outside office hours, residents can contact Floodline on 0345 988 1188 for advice. If there is an imminent risk to property or persons residents should contact the emergency services.

Blockages in Longstanton Brook can be reported as littering on the SCDC website: https://scambs.jdi-consult.net/envirocrime/problem.php
